Novacoast Bengals

Where Is Novacoast Bengals Located?

Novacoast Bengals is located on the beautiful south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada.  We are one hour from the provincial capital city, Halifax, and thirty minutes from the picturesque coastline.  Nova Scotia, also referred to as Canada’s Ocean Playground, is world famous for it’s seafood, especially lobster, striking scenery and the world’s highest tides at the Bay of Fundy.  We are very proud to call Nova Scotia our home!

Who Is Novacoast Bengals?

Novacoast Bengals is owned by Angela Slauenwhite & Collin Veinot.  We live on a farm in a small, rural community with our dogs, cats, chickens, goats, sheep and horses.  We both grew up surrounded by animals so it’s no surprise to anyone who knows us that animals are such an important part of our lives today.  Our pets are a huge part of our  daily lives.

How Are We Involved In The Breed?

We are members in good standing of the Canadian Cat Association (CCA) and our cattery is registered with the Canadian Cat Association (CCA), The International Cat Association (TICA) and the American Cat Fanciers Association (ACFA).

Our cats are shown in the Canadian Cat Association and the American Cat Fanciers Association.

We take every opportunity to educate the public on this amazing breed. They are a truly unique and breathtaking breed but they are not a perfect match for every family.

We take great pride in producing high quality, healthy Bengals with amazing temperaments.

Education

As breeders, education is of top priority. Breeding healthy, quality animals takes a great deal of education and experience.  A lot of research goes into each breeding in order to produce high quality, healthy kittens.

We are constantly educating ourselves on genetics, whether it be for health, structure or coat patterns,.  Having a very good understanding of genetics is an important part of any breeding program.  Successful breeding programs don’t happen just by chance.
